The site is in close proximity to Hammersmith, London with its range of facilities and transport links. The site benefits from a south facing aspect towards the Harrods Furniture Depository, and overlooks Frank Banfield Park to the north.
Being in such an area means One Vision were to cater for all types of people from different walks of life. The design specifcation outlined that four different satellites were required. We installed a Fibre IRS 17 Wire Installations that would recieved Hotbird, Arabsat, Nilesat and Astra.
One Vision were employed to link into the exsisitng Fibre IRS system in the adjacent block. With the help of engineers from Crestmount electrical a four core fibre optic cable was pulled to the basment of the new block ready for us to connect to. Carl, our fibre IRS expert had the job of connecting each core into a multi-way fibre splice enclosure. From here, each fibre connects to individual fibres that run through the vertical riser to each apartment.
In every apartment within the block, there is a fibre IRS switchblade mounted for each sattelite which converts the fibre IRS signals back into coaxial cabling within the apartment.
